” I have known Ricky Marcus since 2004 and he is one of the biggest advocates for Florida wrestling. When I was coaching his sons at Palm Beach Central HS, Ricky was always there to be my right hand man and do anything I needed him to do for me and for our program. When he started The Florida Wrestling Room in 2015, I knew he was going to bring the Florida wrestling community togther and get all the important information to everyone who needed or wanted it. He is a very selfless guy and does so much for everyone else just because he wants to. I have watched him put together hurricane relief campaigns in minutes to help wrestling families who lost all of their food to the storms we have faced throughout the years. When I hired and brought in a new assistant coach from Iowa, Ricky told me not to worry about a thing and the coach could stay with him and his kids rent free until he was able to get established down here and get a place of his own. That’s the type of man Ricky Marcus is. I am very excited for The Florida Wrestling Room website and from what I have seen there’s nothing out there like it. The new TFWR website will cover YOUTH wrestling too and the youth are the future of our sport. Nobody knows this better than Ricky Marcus, because two of his three sons started in the youth ranks. I will support anything Ricky does because he is always there for all of us”.
