“Seven years ago, a good friend of mine and huge advocate of Florida wrestling, Ricky Marcus started a social media page called The Florida Wrestling Room for no other reason than for the love of the sport. Almost 15k members later that page is busting at the seams and has grown into a place where wrestlers, parents, coaches, college recruiters and just your every day people around the country that are interested in Florida wrestling have flocked to. For many years The Florida Wrestling Room has been a wrestling safe haven where important wrestling topics are discussed, rankings are posted and wrestling news is provided. But what if something else was available?  Obviously, Facebook pages have limitations to them but Florida wrestling is just too big and well, Ricky Marcus’s aspirations to grow the sport cannot be contained! Now Florida wrestling has it’s very own website. Sure TFWR Facebook page will still be as strong as ever but how great is it that we now have our very own Florida Wrestling Room Website? A website devoted to consistent and accurate state rankings. A wrestling forum, like the old Scout forum where coaches, parents, athletes, maybe even superheroes can get on and discuss all the juicy wrestling news happening in Florida. A website designed to provide individuals freedom to make predictions and create topics to discuss. A place to find wrestling schedules including youth schedules, wrestling results, photo and video gallery’s, previews and more. There are no limitations to the things a quality, professional website like this one can do for the exposure of our great athletes. A website designed to acknowledge and recognize the worlds greatest sport and the phenominal athletes that call Florida home. I don’t know about you guys but I am very excited and i am happy we have this website for our state!
