Today we live in what I like to call a “microwave” generation. That means with todays technology, we are accustomed to getting information at the drop of a dime 24/7. What Ricky Marcus has been able to do over the last 7 years with The Florida Wrestling Room is nothing short of a miracle. He has built and runs THEE number one platform for Florida wrestling, bar none! He has kept the entire state of Florida wrestling community together and up to date with all the wrestling news and information. With that being said, after many conversations with Ricky I now know Facebook as a platform puts many restrictions on what can be done on a group page. This put limits on what Ricky wants to achieve with growing our sport and promoting our state, and more importantly our great athletes. Posts get quickly lost, pictures/videos uploaded can also get quickly pushed down and then almost impossible to locate at a later time.
What Ricky will be able to achieve with the new website for The Florida Wrestling Room will be phenominal and there’s nothing out there like it. TFWR is the only one who covers every level of wrestling from youth to college and everything in between. A true one stop shop for everything wrestling related in Florida. Tournament schedules for youth and HS? He will have that! Tournament results? He will have that too! Wrestling Forum for all of us to speak our minds and create our own topics? He definitely has that! Video interviews and other cool videos? Yes sir, he will have them for us. STATE RANKINGS? You best believe he will have that. The TFWR Rankings will be consistent and accurate.
I am so excited about this new website for The Florida Wrestling Room. One location, all things Florida wrestling related. No more searching for posts, no more multiple Facebook groups, just one great website designed and created to help keep us up to date with everything going on in the Florida wrestling community. From youth events and HS events and now girls events too, I know the state of Florida wrestling will be better because of this.
